Federal Regulatory Policy and Management
Federal Regulatory Policy and Management provides unbiased regulatory analysis to government agencies to be used in the interagency regulatory review process, and to inform the public of the implications of regulatory actions.
The EOP Foundation has conducted economic impact assessments for a number of regulations promulgated by the United States Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board. These analyses estimated the costs and benefits of new technical standards for providing access to a number of services to persons with disabilities.
The analyses performed by the EOP Foundation were used by the Board to satisfy their analytical obligations under Executive Order No. 12866. The Board was complimented by the Office of Management and Budget on the quality of the analysis provided in support of its Electronic and Information Technology Accessibility Standards. The analysis was lauded as “clearly the best we have seen from the Board in recent memory”. The analyses were also made available to the public to help inform comment on proposed new requirements.
